Just catching up...

It's been awhile since I've written but we haven't had too much new going on. I had a great birthday. Kyle took me out to dinner but surprised me by inviting three of our couple friends to come too. We had sushi, my favorite! What a fun night.

We finally got our fence in on April 15th. It was something to make the sting of tax day a little better. ;) It is so nice to have it in! We've been outside every day that the weather has been nice just hanging out. Even one day, I needed to come in to start dinner but Kira wasn't ready. I was able to cook and watch her out the window and listen for her with the slider open. What a nice way to spend the day. We also got our family room and kitchen painted and the TV FINALLY hung on the wall over the fireplace. What an ordeal that seemed to be to get the TV done but it's SO nice now that we finally have it finished.

We've had some decent weather (near 80 a couple days) but it's dipped back down to 50 degrees again. But, toward the end of the week, we're supposed to be up in the mid-70's. Lovely!

Kira got a new big girl princess bike that she loves to ride around. It took her a little while to get the hang of it but now she's off and going. It's fun for her to ride it and I push Kaylee along in the stroller.

Kaylee has been changing daily. She tries to say duck, dog, cat, moma, dada, ball, hat, jacket. She can make some of the sounds of animals like duck, lion, bear, pig. She's been picking up on the sign language that I use with her. She still won't sit still to watch the videos like Kira did so she doesn't have as many signs to use but she does pick up new ones every day. I absolutely love this age where they learn and grow so much! I have a doctor appointment for her on Friday so speaking of growing, we'll see just has much she has grown in the last three months. She's a great eater so I'm sure she's put on some pounds.

Kyle has been working harder than ever. He pretty much works every day of the week although he tries to take Sundays off. But then, that's the only day he can do projects around the house. I really appreciate all he does for our family. He's great!

Looking forward to warmer weather and more outdoor activities opening up so we have more to do. I've signed Kira and Kaylee (with mom) both up for swimming lessons in July just before we go to Florida. I'm gonna get a season pool pass for me (kids are free) and hope to get there often. The kids should love it.

I guess that's about it for now. Hopefully I'll have more exicting news to report soon...
