Fun Vacation

Hello Everyone,
It's been a long time since I've written and I'm the one that wanted to have a blog to keep in touch. Thanks, to those of you that keep the fun pictures and information coming. Dad & I were able to get away for a fun trip. Dad had a conference in Las Vegas the last part of May so I got to tag along. We stayed at the MGM grand. The night we arrived was the same night they were having the County and Western Music awards there. Boy, was it a nightmare to try and get in to park!! We didn't know all that was taking place. There were limo's and people all dressed up and lots of police trying to keep order. We finally found the parking area and it took two turns around the place to find a place to park!! Dad had meetings Monday-Wednesday and we stayed Thursday so we could do a few fun things. We splurged and went and saw Phantom of the Opera. It was really good even if we were on the last row way up in the balcony. We wanted to see "O" at the Belliegio, but it was sold out. The weather was nice, not too hot yet, in fact the day we left it was windy, rainy and rather chilly. It was funny to see people walking around in their shorts and tank tops trying to stay warm. It was a nice get-a-way but it was hard to come back to having to cook our own meals and make our own bed. A little shell shock also to have to get up early again for work!! We stopped at all the cemeteries on the way on Saturday. It was a good thing because it was rainy and cold on Monday. Mitch and Kimberly came down and we just relaxed on Memorial Day and watched movies and ate pizza. It was really nice to have an extra day off before we had to face the music of work again.
Hope you all are doing great!! Love you lots. Mom
