Our trip to Utah

We had such a good time on our visit to Utah. We had a long day of travel on the 15th of January but it went just fine and we were happy to see Grandma and Grandpa. We had two weeks this trip so we were able to go several places, see lots of friends and family and just relax.

On Friday, Grandma watched Kaylee while Kira and I had a "date". We went to the mall and got her hair cut, got our nails done, did some shopping and had lunch. It was so much fun just spending time one on one with her and having my little buddy with me. Kira got some new sunglasses that she thought she was so cool.

I was able to see some friends from work (Jim, Larry, Mandi, Ralph and Patty - thanks guys!). See some friends from school (Jodi and Laurelin) and see family. We went to the children's museum in Ogden, went to the library, went out to eat a few times and played in the snow. What a great time!

The trip home was a little scary... We were delayed several times getting out of Salt Lake because the weather in Chicago was so bad. Kyle had to drive from Champaign to Chicago in it and it was terrible. It took him about four hours. The flight itself wasn't bad at all (as far a turbulence) but it took forever! We finally arrived in Chicago about 10:45 p.m. (instead of our original 6:45 flight time). Kyle was so happy to see his little girls! The weather was so bad, we had booked a hotel room so we wouldn't have to drive in it. We finally got the girls to sleep about 1:00 a.m. What a day! The next morning we got up and made our way home. Kira was SO ready to be home and see her stuff. She played good all day and both of them were konked out EARLY.

We really had a good time and thanks to everyone for the time you spent with us. Love you all...
