We had a great 4th of July. On the 3rd, we went to a party at one of Kyle's friend's house with the kids. We didn't stay too long because we brought the kids home and had Mandi babysit while Kyle and I went to meet some other friends at the Country Club and watch fireworks from there. It was a great show and good company.
On the 4th, we just did stuff around the house most of the day then I took the girls to a party at one neighbor's house for dinner. They decorated bikes and did a little bike parade that was so cute! We had a second invite to another neighbor's so we went there for dessert and Kira had a great time playing with all her friends. After that, we cruised on home to get Kaylee to bed and Ray and Marilyn came over to our house for the big fireworks show. We are able to see them from our front lawn and it's great! Kira stayed up for the first time to watch them with us but she really wasn't that interested. She kept looking at the stars and singing "Twinkle, Twinkle little star", she had to go find an umbrella (no rain) and a flashlight so she could see the fireworks. What a fun day!
We got alot of other projects done around the house that weekend so it felt great. We've had some really good rain storms earlier this week but we had good weather the last couple days so we've been at the pool. The kids have so much fun there and it's definitely something to kill some time. Both Kira and Kaylee will be starting swim lessons next week (I do it with Kaylee) for two weeks. It will be fun but quite an effort to get us and everything that goes with us there each day on time.
Kira's been doing gymnastics since she got done with dance. She's been having a ball with it. It's so fun to see the big smile on her face each week when we go. She's really pretty good at it all too.
We're looking forward to our trip to Florida the last week of this month. I'm really excited to get away for a little bit and see somewhere new. It will be great to have Kay and Chris there with us too.
Kyle's doing great at work. He's busy alot but also able to spend alot of time with us at home. It's been one of their best years so far - hope it continues.
Guess that about updates us so far...
