Little divas in the making.

We just finished swimming lessons today. Kira did pretty good. They had her in a class with some kids who were more advanced so she had a hard time keeping up. Much of the time, it seemed like the teacher was holding her. The last couple days, she got more involved. I bought her some goggles like her friend, Eden, had. They made a difference because she actually dunked her head under water all the way yesterday. This coming from a kid who would fuss in the tub if a drop of water was near her eyes. She loved swimming around in the pool! I did a parent/child class with Kaylee and she was more interested in just playing around. They had balls, rings and sticks for the kids to play with but what did Kaylee like most? Chasing a leaf around that had fallen in the pool. Whatever works! She is so stubborn... she has to be in control. She'd walk out to where the water was right at her chin but if I picked her up to go deeper, she'd start fussing. She wanted to walk and do it her way! Next year I'm going to sign Kira up for at least a couple sessions but probably skip it with Kaylee. She'll still be too young to do a class on her own so I'll just work with her in the kiddie pool.
Kira could spend all day picking "flowers". (all the weeds that grow in the grass and fields). She wants to put them all in a pretty "base". Another funny thing she said lately was that we were going to a neighbors for a BBQ. She had to put on necklaces, fancy shoes, rings, feather boa, etc. We asked why she had to wear all that to a BBQ and she said so "I can look posh." I just laughed! When I told Kyle, he couldn't believe she'd said that. We had read a book from the library called "Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy". It's about a girl who dresses up and uses fancy words like that. Too funny what they pick up!
Anyway, guess that's about all for now. I'll update again as soon as I have time when we're back. Hope everyone is well!
The next post should be some fun pics of our first trip to Florida as a family. I'm so excited! Kira kinda gets it and Kaylee has no clue but I'm sure they will have a wonderful time. Kyle left on Weds. at 4:30 a.m. so we're missing him and excited to see him again soon.
